@Chantilly’s Tallow we only source raw materials directly from our own farm and one other like-minded family friend’s farm. It matters to us to live more aligned, have less impact and BE a part of the change we want to see for our children’s children. We both raise our cattle on 100% Grass-fed, chemical-free pastures, using only natural wormers and ethical and sustainable farming practices. We both process our cattle with gratitude and care. Our balms are hand-crafted using mineral-rich spring water and blended with only pure & organic ingredients, You Can Trust in sustainable packaging.

Our Story
Chantilly's Tallow was born from the desire to respect the life of our cows by utilising as many of its gifts and offerings as possible. We started making cooking tallow, then learned a family member was dealing with systemic Acne and Tallow balm might be beneficial for that. So, we made our first batch in Dec 2022, and shared it around the family as Christmas presents.
When everyone started asking for more, we kept making it, and sharing it with friends too, and when they asked for more, we thought we might be onto something!
After improving our production process, partnering with a family friend's farm for back up supply, Chantilly's opened a mini ‘tallow lab’ to offer them to the wider community.
Our Farm
This passion began in 2002 as a mother seeking a more connected, wholesome way to live. Through permaculture study and years of growing food for our family, raising cattle came as a natural next step — animals we could trust, on land we could heal.
On our 100 acre farm in Gippsland, Victoria, we have just begun to move our cattle through rotational grazing systems that give the soil time to regenerate, increase bio-diversity, and improve pasture quality. We can support more cattle of higher quality while offering above-ground and below-ground creatures the opportunity to thrive.
By farming this way and crafting tallow balms with pure ingredients, we feel aligned with the traditional healthy living practices of our forefathers — birthing a piece of the past into the now, for future generations.
